Joey Beaton

Joey Beaton's heritage is closely linked with Cape Breton music. A noted pianist and composer he is part of a family Dynasty as a son of well known and respected fiddler/composer (the late) Donald Angus Beaton. Joey has played with the best of them including Kinnon Beaton, John Morris Rankin, Buddy MacMaster and many others. He has appeared on a number of recordings including fiddlers Stephanie Wills, Buddy MacMaster and his wife, Karen Beaton. He played a key role in the formation of the Cape Breton Fiddler's Association and developed the long-time radio program Highland Fling in 1975.
