Buddy MacMaster

Buddy MacMaster is known as the 'Master of the Cape Breton Fiddle'.

MacMaster is widely acknowledged as one of the main reasons why fiddle music has remained strong on the Island and beyond. He has influenced many with is playing and teaching in Scotland, throughout the United States and Canada. The Buddy MacMaster School of Music takes place each October in his home town of Judique. He is a member of the Order of Canada and holds honourary degrees from several Universities.
